Brewing news UK: German beer hosted by the Great British Beer Festival

England fans who develop a taste for German beer during the World Cup finals can continue their love affair when they return thanks to CAMRA’s Great British Beer Festival, The Morning Advertiser posted June 12.

Visitors to the festival at Earl’s Court can sign up to a special tutored tasting of German beers which feature in CAMRA’s latest publication The Good Beer Guide Germany.

CAMRA Press Officer Owen Morris said: “Too many people associate German beer with the likes of Becks and Holsten Pils, but Germany has an incredibly diverse brewing heritage that rivals anywhere in the world.

“By coming to the tasting session visitors to the festival will have the chance to learn how to identify individual beer styles and the subtleties of flavour from experts in brewing.”

The festival is due to run from August 1 to 5.
